about

Golfiti started as a way to fill a void in the golf community. As graffiti writers for over 20 years, our strong passion for both graffiti and golf pushed us to find a way to blend the two. With the apparel, demographic and overall attitude towards golf changing, we aim to leave our mark in the golf scene. Our hope is that golfers from all walks of life will feel included in our community and enjoy the energy we bring.

Max

co-founder

Max grew up getting into a lot of trouble in Providence, Rhode Island with golf furthest from the mind. Growing up in a city he became infatuated with graffiti and got introduced to it through skateboarding.  Having a passion for art since a kid, graffiti became an important outlet for him to express himself. He has spent the last 10 years honing his art skills and branching out into other forms of painting.

During the covid pandemic he picked up skateboarding after taking ten years off. All was going great until he tore his ACL and could no longer skate. During his rehab, a friend convinced him to play golf for the first time to help cheer him up. While he found it fun, he wasn't hooked right away, that took some time.

He later moved to Colorado and started ramping up his golf play. The addiction to golf started to grow and grow as he aimed to improve and really learn the game. He saw that golf was starting to trend in a different direction and being come less elitist than it typically was. This inspired him to combine his two passions, art and golf. And so Golfiti was born.

Bennett

co-founder

Bennett is an entirely self taught artist from Providence, Rhode Island. Growing up facing socio-economic barriers, combined with an extremely nontraditional education that lacked any access to sports, golf was not something he would’ve ever imagined would one day take over  his life.

Bennett always had a keen interest in individual sports and activities that combined physical, as well as mental, aspects. From skateboarding, graffiti, illustration, and even a dabble in competitive Scrabble, his interests consistently held elements of relying on yourself and mental fortitude to achieve goals. Whether the goal was learning a new trick or developing new artistic skills, personal challenges were always welcome.

When his friend introduced him to golf, it was like a whole new world was unlocked. What would become possibly the most challenging endeavor to date, Bennett jumped in with both feet.

Immediately obsessing over his new passion for golf, Bennett was trying to find creative ways that could lead to maximizing his time spent around golf, talking about golf, and practicing. He was in luck, as another friend approached him with an idea to incorporate both of their artistic backgrounds and golf, creating a new golf brand that could disrupt the typical golf style and appeal to a new generation of golfers.
